Privacy policy

Last updated October 24, 2026

The short version: we collect what’s needed to build and send proposals and to show the sender how they’re read. We don’t sell data, readers never need an account, and proposal pages carry no ad or analytics trackers.

Who we are

AfterDemo is provided by Playita Ventures, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers afterdemo.com, the AfterDemo app, and the proposal pages our customers send to their prospects.

There are two kinds of people whose data we handle. Customers are the companies and their staff who sign up and send proposals. Readers are the people who open a proposal a customer sent them. For readers, the customer decides what the proposal contains and who it goes to; we process that data on the customer’s behalf.

What we collect from customers

  • Your account: your name and email address (from Google, if you sign in with Google), your role and your company.
  • What you put in: your company profile, templates, sections, pricing, proposals, and call transcripts or notes you paste in.
  • From HubSpot, if you connect it: deals, their stages and amounts, deal owners, associated companies (such as industry and size), and weekly counts of logged emails and calls. We write back to HubSpot only to record sent and accepted proposals on the deal they’re linked to, which can move that deal’s stage.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep your subscription status; we never see or store your card number.
  • How you found us: the page and campaign tags of your first visit, kept in your browser and saved to your account when you sign up.

What we collect from people reading a proposal

Readers never create an account or log in. When a proposal is opened we record, for the customer who sent it:

  • that it was opened, when, how often, and which sections were viewed for how long;
  • an identifier made by one-way hashing the network address and browser together, so repeat visits can be counted without storing the address itself;
  • the browser’s user-agent string (the browser and device type);
  • anything you type into the page: your name and email if you accept the proposal or share it, the names and emails of colleagues you share it with, and your answers if you build a business case.

Proposal pages carry no advertising or analytics tags of ours or anyone else’s.

On our own website and app

We use Google Analytics on afterdemo.com and inside the app, and Ahrefs Web Analytics (which sets no cookies) on afterdemo.com, to understand which pages are used. Neither is ever loaded on proposal pages, question forms, invitations or sign-in links, or on our free tools and example proposal. Our free AI Proposal Generator asks for your email address and sends a link to confirm it; we keep the address (not what you paste) to know who used it and may follow up about AfterDemo, and a cookie remembers that you confirmed it. Sign-in uses cookies to keep you logged in. Your browser also stores a few small preferences, such as a dismissed banner.

How we use it

  • To run the product: build, send and show proposals, and show customers how their proposals are read.
  • To draft content with AI when a customer asks for it, such as turning call notes into the problems a buyer described. AI never sets prices or contract terms, and nothing it drafts reaches a reader until the customer approves it.
  • To send the emails the product sends, such as invitations and reminders.
  • To bill, support and secure the service, and to improve it.

Who processes it for us

We don’t sell personal data. These providers process it so the service can run:

  • Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1).
  • Vercel (hosting the website and app).
  • Anthropic (the AI that drafts content when a customer uses an AI feature, and when anyone uses our free AI Proposal Generator; we don’t keep what is pasted into it).
  • Stripe (payments).
  • Resend (sending email).
  • Google (Sign in with Google, and Google Analytics on our own site and app).
  • Ahrefs (Ahrefs Web Analytics on afterdemo.com, without cookies).
  • HubSpot, only for customers who connect their own HubSpot account.

Where it’s stored and how it’s protected

Data is stored in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Each company’s data is kept apart from every other company’s inside the database itself. Proposal links are long and random, are kept out of search engines, and stop working when the customer archives the proposal. Secret keys for connected services stay on our servers and are never sent to the browser. More on the security page.

How long we keep it

We keep customer data while the account is active. A customer can delete a proposal, which removes it and the reading activity recorded on it. When an account is closed, we delete its data on request. Readers who want their details removed can ask the customer who sent the proposal, or ask us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. Use the contact page and choose “A privacy or data request”. If you read a proposal, we may need to pass your request to the company that sent it, because they decide what it contains.

Children

AfterDemo is a business tool and isn’t meant for anyone under 16.
