Editorial standards

How the guides, templates and comparisons on this site are written, checked and corrected. The short version: real advice, no invented numbers, examples labelled as examples, and competitor facts with the date we checked them.

Who writes our content

Guides, templates and comparisons on this site are published by AfterDemo, made by Playita Ventures, LLC. Each page names its author and the person who reviewed it, and links to the author’s page. The reviewer is accountable for what the page says.

We make AfterDemo, a proposal tool for teams that run their own demos. Our guides are written to be useful whether or not you use it: every template works on its own.

How we use AI

  • We draft and edit with help from AI (Anthropic’s Claude), working from our own product knowledge and a written editorial brief.
  • Nothing is published until a person has reviewed it and an automated checker has passed it against the rules on this page.
  • AI is never the source of a fact. Figures, prices and claims about other companies come from the sources described below.

Facts, numbers and examples

  • We don’t publish statistics, survey results or “studies show” claims we can’t point to.
  • Examples are made up and say so: the companies, people and numbers in worked examples (like Juniper Row Plumbing or Tallyfox) are fictional.
  • We don’t publish testimonials, customer logos, ratings or quotes without the named person’s permission.
  • Statements about AfterDemo describe what the product does today. Features that don’t exist yet are not described as if they do.

How we compare tools

Comparison pages follow stricter rules:

  • Prices and features come from each vendor’s public pricing and product pages, with the date we checked them shown on the page.
  • Competitor facts older than 90 days block the page from publishing until they’re checked again.
  • If a vendor doesn’t publish something, we say “not published” rather than guess.
  • Cost tables use the same team size and billing period for every tool, and say which plan is being priced.
  • We don’t use other companies’ logos.
  • Every comparison is reviewed for accuracy and fairness before it goes live.

Interactive guides

Some guides ask what you sell or where your deal is, and show tips for your answer. Your answers stay in your browser; we don’t receive them. The full article is on the page for everyone, including search engines; your answers only change which notes are shown.

Updates and corrections

Each page shows when it was last updated. We revisit pages when the facts behind them change, such as a vendor’s pricing, and when readers tell us something is wrong or unclear.

Found a mistake? Tell us through the contact pagewith the page address and what’s wrong. A person reads every message, and if we agree, we fix the page and update its date.
